2021 Klondike Derby

SLED TEAM: Each patrol provides a sled housing 4 – 8 scouts per sled team.
PRE-REGISTRATION: Contact the Chief Cornplanter office at 723-6700 with the number of patrols and participants
that plan on attending the “Derby” from your unit no later than Friday March 12, 2021.
REGISTRATION FEE: $10.00 per participant – All fees will be charged to your unit accounts. A special Klondike Derby patch will be presented to each scout registered.
REGISTRATION TIME: 8:00 – 8:45 am. The patrol leader must provide a unit roster and Daily Home Screening for each participant. There will be a sled inspection at this time.
VOLUNTEERS: Please ask any adult leaders or helpers if they are interested in volunteering for this event.
If so, have them contact Erik Fincher at 814 688-3479. Volunteers make this event possible.
Schedule
LUNCH BREAK: 12:00 Each team will take 1 hour to prepare and eat meals at that station.
SOUP TO NUTS: 4:00 – 5:00 pm
MULLIGAN STEW: Each scout and adult are asked to bring one can of soup for the mulligan stew
(No tomato or cream soups).
AWARDS: 5:00 pm. Judges word in ALL cases is FINAL. Plaques will be awarded to first, second,
and third place finishers.
DRESS REQUIREMENT: All Patrol members must meet requirements for points to be awarded. Each Scout must have
A MASK and wear it, gloves, boots, hooded jacket, or cap with ear flaps and a jacket. NO SNEAKERS!
